Rule 16

(1) As mentioned in Schedule-2, while providing a platform for the experience of working in different geographical areas to the police personnel, the geographical areas will be divided into five categories namely "A", "B", "C", "D" and "E" respectively. Based on the experience of working annually, no more than eight increments will be given as follows:-
(a) At the rate of 1.5 cents for every year of service in category “A”.
(b) at the rate of 1.4 places for every year of service in “B” category.
(c) At the rate of 1.3 places for every year of service in category “C”.
(d) at the rate of 1.2 points for every year of service in category “D”. (e) at the rate of 1 stop for every year of service in "E" category.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (1), if a police employee has worked in a geographical area for a period of at least ninety days or more, the allowance will be calculated proportionally to the allowance he would have received if he had worked in the same geographical area for that period. will be given.
(3) In the case of a police employee who has been reinstated or has been suspended and the suspension has been lifted, no allowance will be given for working in the geographical area during which he was not present.
(4) Police personnel going on study leave or going on foreign training for a period of three months or more will be given half of the allowance prescribed for "E" category.
(5) The credit earned for working in a geographical area will be counted only if the rank is one rank below the rank in which the promotion is to be held.
(6) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-rule (1), the geographical area acquired by any police officer at the commencement of this rule shall not be reduced.
